El ex presidente de Suiza y ministro de Finanzas del país, Hans Rudolf Merz, sufrió un fuerte ataque de risa mientras leía su discurso en el Parlamento suizo.
Al parecer, el ministro no puedo evitar comenzar a reirse cuando leyó su respuesta, repleta de tecnicismos económicos y jurídicos, y empezó a equivocarse. Rudolf Merz, tartamudeando, intentó explicar algo, que nisiquiera él mismo entendía.
Por ello, el titular de Finanzas se preguntó en voz alta de qué estaba hablando, lo que provocó las risas sin censura del resto de diputados de la Cámara.
Al final, Hans Rudolf Merz decidió aplazar su comparecencia para otro momento, ante la imposibilidad de seguir leyendo el documento.

Nach seinem Ausscheiden aus dem Bundesrat könnte sich Hans-Rudolf Merz ja mal noch als Komiker versuchen, denn es gehört sehr viel dazu, aus einem komplett langweiligen Satz eine solche Lachnummer zu produzieren:

Danach werden gewisse Erzeugnisse noch im Kapitel 2 eingereiht, denen bei der Herstellung Würzstoffe zugesetzt worden sind, sofern dadurch der Charakter einer Ware dieses Kapitels nicht verändert wird (zum Beispiel Bündnerfleisch). Ausgeschlossen von diesem Kapitel bleibt hingegen Fleisch, bei dem die Würzstoffe auf allen Flächen des Erzeugnisses verteilt und mit blossem Auge wahrnehmbar sind.”

“Referring to addition 6a in capter 2 of the KN, the customs administration has additionally published the so called Swiss explanations about the customs tariff.
According to that, certain products, that have spices added during the production, are added to chapter 2, if the character of a product of this chapter ist not changed (for example “Bündnerfleisch”). Meat, that has spices on the whole surface of the product and that is noticable with the eyes, is excluded by the chapter.”
